Sinigang na Hipon - Cabanatuan City Style

The distinctive taste of Sinigang na Hipon comes from
the mixture of local spices.
What is Sinigang na Hipon? It's actually a simple stew which main ingredient is Hipon or Shrimp. It's a Filipino main dish and is common to see in every household's table.

Sometimes, I consider it to be special because my wife only cooks it when the weather is cold or when we want a change in our daily menus. But frankly, I rarely see this served in special occasions like parties. Now, I wonder why? :)

The taste of the soup is somewhat a bit sour and chili, also you can distinguish the taste of the onion and tomatoes in it.

So, how to cook it?

Remembering ULZ Team and The Outdoor Fun at Juniban

There are so many things that money can buy,
and our experience in Juniban is not one of them.
- Hohenheim Meister

Two years ago, I was a part of something special... something I didn't imagine I could be a part with. I said special because for me, it was an experience like nothing else. I am a bit nostalgic about it and I simply can't express how I miss that place, the people I was with and the bosses that were always ready to understand us no matter what our difficulties are. ^_^

Yes, I am talking about the ULZ Team at Sykes Back Office Department that I have come to work with where my story has begun from the training days which continued later on at the floor. The every day experience is worth remembering--like savoring on a box of popcorn and each piece of which makes a distinct taste in my mouth. Each piece simply makes me smile to the thoughts of our faded laughters, hardships, devestating failures and unforgettable successes!

Celebrating Chinese New Year at Dynasty Seafood Restaurant - Port Moresby

_DSC0147
In the eve of the Chinese New Year Holiday, the management of Tango Department Store set a dinner at Dynasty Seafood Restaurant which is located in the heart of Vision City Mega Mall in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

I actually never had a chance in my life to say Kung Hei Fat Choi to somebody during this celebration since I mostly grew up in a place where majorities of business owners are also the locals.

In Manila, where there is a prevalence of Chinese businessmen, Chinese New Year are actually being celebrated particularly in Ongpin where the community of Filipino-Chinese population is highly concentrated. Wandering there might actually feel like being in Hongkong, lol! ^_^
